Projects
Here you find information about the projects of the cooperation project for rural Jewish communities in Lower Franconia:
There are about 100 intact Jewish cemeteries in all of Franconia, with roughly 50 of these being situated in Lower Franconia. These "Houses of Life" as they are called in Hebrew still hold testimony to past Jewish communities.
The European Day of Jewish Culture is an annual event that always takes place on the first Sunday in September. Its main focus is to make the history and culture of European Judaism known to a much broader audience.
Our project plans to organize themed walks all over Lower Franconia. We plan to have city tours, bicycle tours, hiking and cycling paths that will make the Jewish history of this region more accessible and tangible for people.
We are currently working on a touring exhibition that will provide information on the rural Jewish communities of Lower Franconia.
The cooperation project for rural Jewish communities in Lower Franconia also organises day trips to various Jewish sites in Lower Franconia.
These trips are free for everybody to join but due to organisational factors it will be necessary that you sign up for them in advance.

One of the goals of the cooperation project for rural Jewish communities in Lower Franconia is to get young people involved.
